Context

BNP Paribas Fortis offers a full range of products and services in Belgium through its two core businesses: Retail Banking, Corporate & Institutional Banking and Investment Solutions. They are part of the BNP Paribas Fortis group, present in 74 countries with more than 190,000 employees.

Objectives

BNP Paribas Fortis was looking for a partner to reshape the digital strategy of the retail bank from the perspective of secondary disruption.

Our approach

BNP Paribas Fortis approached us to co-create a strategy in a world where banking is in full disruption. Soon we realised there’s more to it than just Digital Transformation that is disrupting banks. The sharing economy, driverless cars, living as a service,… are all trends that are shaking up the banking industry.

Through a series of co-creation workshops we mapped the banking innovation landscape and defined the impact of these innovations in living, working, healthcare and mobility. Then we created a strategy and a North Star Vision that formed the basis of our ideation sessions. In these sessions we tried to create innovations in line with our strategy that could ride the waves of disruption that are emerging.
